In October 2019, I was approached by Klug Insurance Agency owners, Mike and Sarah Klug, to assist them in reimagining the façade of their historic Main Street building in Caledonia, MN (pop. 2,900). We were put in touch by a mutual contact at the City of Caledonia and CEDA (Community Economic Development Advisors) who knew that I was providing artistic renderings of Main Street buildings to reimagine what they could look like after renovation. This effort was part of a SEMAC grant that I received in July 2019 to create an exhibition called “Reimagining Main Street.”
